Paul was born in 1954. He Studied illustration and Printmaking at Eastbourne College of Art and Design between
1972 and 1976, and on graduation started to make his living solely from the sale of his original paintings.
His career started at the Ralph Lewis Gallery, in the Lanes in Brighton, where his paintings were immediately popular
and eagerly bought.
Many collectors from these early days are still firm friends, and have loyally followed the development of Paul's work.
His paintings became increasingly in demand, and since 1976 he has held some 55 successful one-man exhibitions and numerous group
exhibitions in select galleries in London and the South of England.
A move to Suffolk in 1991 prompted a new outlook for his work - the coast of East Anglia and Cornwall proving to be a rich source of fresh inspiration
alongside his favourite haunts in Sussex. Paintings now go worldwide, and his images have also been used for greetings cards, calendars and limited
edition prints. Two books on Paul's work have been published during the past year.
He can now be considered to be one of the leading landscape painters working today.
